What’s On My Design Wall October 29, 2012

Once all the blocks were made the quilt top came together quickly.  Somehow I managed to end up with an extra block which I’ll toss in the orphan block box.  One of these days I’ve really got to make something with those blocks.

Still working on cleaning up the sewing room, but I really need to get back to Eeyore and the Christmas BOM.  Last week my stitch card finally came in so now I can resume machine applique.

Hop on over to Patchwork Times to check out what others have on their design walls.

I love this quilt. Is there a pattern or did you do it on your own? Great job and it’s finished which is even better.

The pattern is called Checkerboard Plaids and is in Evelyn Sloppy’s 40 Fabulous Quick-Cut Quilts book.

Deja vu! I made that pattern out of homespun plaids (yardage) a couple of years ago. I made more 9-patches for the border.

Talk about movement. Your quilt is like an optical illusion. It is fantastic.

Wow. What movement that quilt has! I’m making a similar quilt using plaid but just the dark blocks. I love yours!

What size are the blocks? 12″?
